John Dalton joined the Kinks in 1966, touring and recording, and then again from 1969 to 1976. He currently performs in The Kast Off Kinks.
From Birmingham, this quartet of Spencer Davis (guitar and vocals), Steve Winwood (organ, guitar, and most of the lead vocals), his brother Muff Winwood (bass, backup vocals), and Pete York (drums), had many big hits in the 1960s, including Gimme Some Lovin’ and I’m A Man.
